Senior Accountant (Poland/Remote)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic corporate environment. Experience with full-cycle accounting and general ledger processes is highly valued.   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or completion of a Technical Secondary School of Economics.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Hands-on experience with General Ledger accounting and full-cycle accounting, preferably for limited liability companies.
• Good knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards; knowledge of international accounting principles will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with Comarch Optima or other ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
• Experience with month-end closing activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience supporting or participating in finance-related projects.
• Knowledge of Purchase Order (PO) management processes is a plus.
• Interest in or experience with finance process automation will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
• English language skills are welcome but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day General Ledger accounting activities.
• Post and reconcile bank transactions.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and support Profit & Loss and Cash Flow reporting.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review tax calculations and tax-related reconciliations, including: Corporate Income Tax (CIT) o Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Other Polish tax reporting requirements.
• Support payroll-related accounting, including salary and bonus calculations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support Finance in R&D accounting and related processes (experience is an advantage).
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
• Cooperate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as require
