Chief Accountant (Lithuania)

Currently we are seeking a professional to join us as Chief Accountant in Lithuania.

Requirements:

• Managerial experience in the accounting and finance field.
• ACCA or equivalent professional accounting certification is preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of accounting standards (LFRS and IFRS).
• Experience in fintech (EMI) or banking sector is highly desirable.
• Proven experience preparing statutory financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Very good communication, and interpersonal skills. Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial and accounting operations.
• Ensure that sound processes and procedures are in place to ensure financial transactions are recorded in an accurate, timely and complete manner.
• Ensure that accurate and timely financial accounts are maintained in accordance with established relevant local Generally Accepted  Accounting Practice.
• Oversee but also being hands-on during month end process. Ensure all transactions and relevant adjustments are booked on a monthly basis; ensuring monthly reviews and reconciliations are performed.
• Review month end schedules, and ensure adherence to ZEN’s month end procedures. Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining internal controls.
• Manage annual audit process.
• Prepare quarterly regulatory reports, annual financial statements and monthly reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations.
• Participate in the core-banking system development.
• Review ZEN’s bank register, ensuring that signatories are kept up to date, and that appropriate security levels are in place.
• Manage ZEN’s inter entity funds transfer process. Ensure payroll process.
